There are different ways partners can integrate bookingkit API, primarily focusing on integration setup and payment handling. It's important to note that partners are responsible for managing their integration with our API, and that bookingkit provides support throughout this process.

bookingkit API documentation can be accessed [here]

bookingkit's vertical experience categories can be accessed [here]

Integration types options

  • API only: the partner integrates directly with bookingkit API and uses its own checkout.

  • API + bookingkit checkout, excluding widget: the partner integrates directly with bookingkit API, and designs its shop appearance while utilising bookingkit checkout for end-customer payments (please refer to Integration process).

  • API + bookingkit widget including checkout: the partner integrates with bookingkit API and uses bookingkit widget including checkout to charge the end-customer. The partner can integrate various parts of bookingkit widget (please refer to Integration process).

Payment processes options

  • bookingkit-managed Payment: Transactions are fully processed through bookingkit checkout. bookingkit is responsible for handling transactions between the end customer, the supplier, and the partner (you).

  • Partner-managed Payment: Transactions are fully processed through the partner's checkout. The partner is responsible for handling transactions between the end customer, the supplier (bookingkit client), and bookingkit.

Possible scenarios

Now that you are familiar with the different options available, you can choose from the following scenarios that best suit your needs:

  1. API only Integration

    1. bookingkit-managed Payment

    2. Partner-managed Payment

    3. Shared Payment Process (SEPA - Europe only)

  2. API + bookingkit widget including checkout

    1. bookingkit-managed Payment

In order to decide which scenario is best for you, you should ask yourself the following questions:

  • Would you like to use bookingkit widget including the checkout, or just bookingkit API with/without bookingkit checkout?

  • If you just use bookingkit API:

    • who will manage the checkout process with the end customer?

    • who will be responsible for making payments to bookingkit suppliers?

Once you have decided which set-up is right for you and answered our questions, we will jump into a call and clarify the final details. Finally, a commercial agreement will be set up between us.
