We're excited to introduce a new feature (currently in BETA) that allows you to create group price categories for your activities. This means you can now offer a single ticket option that covers more than one participant, such as a family ticket or a group discount.
Benefits of Using Group Price Categories:
Simplified Participant Management: Easily manage bookings for groups without needing to manually adjust participant numbers in the calendar for group-based price categories. The system automatically recognizes the number of participants associated with the group ticket.
Enhanced Checkout Experience: Display a clear "group ticket" option on the ticket selection page during checkout, making it easier for customers to understand and purchase group offerings.
How to Use Group Price Categories:
Step 1: Feature Activation
Please contact your dedicated Success Manager or our Customer Support team to enable feature for your account.
Step 2: Navigate to Your Experience
Go to the specific activity for which you want to create a group/family ticket.
Step 3: Create a New Price Category
Create a new price category for your group or family ticket as you normally would.
Crucially, when creating the price category, ensure you select the ‘Group’ option for the price category type.
Step 4: Match Content to Underlying Price Categories
After creating the ‘Group’ price category, you need to link it to the individual price categories that it encompasses (e.g., Adult, Child). This step defines which individual ticket types and how many of each are included in the group ticket.
Checkout Experience for Customers:
Ticket Selection Screen: The newly created group price category will be displayed alongside all other available ticket options on the ticket selection page during the checkout process.
Confirmation Email: The customer purchasing the group ticket will receive a standard confirmation email detailing their booking.
Ticket: The customer will receive one single ticket that represents the entire group booking.
Pricing and Fees for Group Tickets:
When a group ticket is purchased, the following fees will apply:
Participant Fee: The standard participant fee for the activity will be multiplied by the total number of participants included in the specific group ticket configuration.
Example: If a "Family Ticket" is set up for 1 adult and 2 children (total of 3 participants), the participant fee will be charged 3 times for that single group ticket purchase.
Online Fee: The standard online booking fee will be applied once per group ticket purchase.
Booking Fee: The standard booking fee will be applied once per group ticket purchase.
