Why it sometimes makes more sense to query only the contact details of the orderer and not of all participants individually.

Distinction between querying the customer or each individual participant.

To perfectly map your business you need information beyond name and email address or phone number?

Differentiation of participant entry

Activation

You can find the participant entry settings while editing old experiences or creating new experiences under Inventory > Experiences, where you can enable or disable simplified participant entry.

Simplified participant entry

In simplified participant entry, all participants can be added using a drop-down field. In the next step, only the contact details of the ordering party are requested.

This variant is particularly useful for activities that are booked by several people at the same time or entire groups. Here often only the details of the booking person are relevant.

Advanced participant entry

With the avanced participant entry, each participant must enter their contact details such as name or telephone number. Additional participants must be added to the booking using the "Add participant" button. Detailed information such as address, e-mail etc. is given by the person making the booking in the next step.

Additional checkout fields during the ordering process

With our "Additional Fields" module, you have the option of customizing your customers' ordering process and querying the necessary customer information in a targeted manner. The good thing about it: big impact, simple setup!

Activate the module

Activate the module under Settings > Modules.

Create additional checkout fields

After activating the module, you can now define additional fields with just a few clicks under Sell > Check-Out Configuration:

  1. To do this, click on "Create field".

  2. Define whether you want to create a checkbox that your customer simply clicks on or a question that is actually answered in writing.

  3. Specify whether the field should be mandatory or not.

  4. Determine in which experiences you want your required field to appear.

How it looks to your customers

Your customers see the additional fields directly in the checkout. The checkboxes and questions you have created are displayed under the contact details. Mandatory fields are of course marked with an asterisk and must be filled out by the customer.

useful information

  • Additional fields cannot be used for marketing platforms, coupons and flexible offers.

  • In any case, we advise you to only create checkout fields that are really necessary. Each additional field has a negative impact on your conversion rate!

  • For reasons of clarity and in order not to unnecessarily worsen your conversion rate, more than 3 additional checkout fields are technically not possible.

  • The maximum number of characters in the "Short answer" response option is 50 characters.

  • In the case of a manual order, you can of course also fill in the fields - but they are not mandatory.

  • In the export at order level, you can of course also generate an overview of all completed fields.

  • This feature is only available in BusinessKit and ProKit. You can find an overview of our tariffs here.
