What kind of cookies does bookingkit use?

bookingkit uses cookies for its Website and the Widget. This distinction is important depending on context and which cookies your are talking about. A detailed list of this can be found here: https://bookingkit.com/privacy-statement/

In general, the bookingkit Widget uses cookies for three purposes:

  1. Essential/ Required Cookies: These are bookingkit’s technical cookies and Payment cookies (eg. from Stripe). They cannot be turned off.

  2. Performance Cookies: (eg. Google Analytics) and Personalization Cookies (Eg. Tripadvisor, Youtube) can be turned off by bookingkit support

What you should pay attention to:

On all pages on which a bookingkit widget is integrated, you or your webmaster should make sure that no cookie banner blocks the widget. These settings should also always be checked as soon as widget or checkout settings are made or changed in bookingkit.

For example, various settings in the checkout, such as Tripadvisor reviews, can lead to additional cookies being set.

These cookies are necessary for the bookingkit widget to function by default:

  • _gat_bkTracker

  • _gid

  • _ga

  • BkOpSession

If you want to switch off the tracking that is not necessary, please contact the support team.
